Meet Kelsie! Our mom of the month🙌
Hi everyone! I am Kelsie Auman. My husband, Josh and I have been married for almost 5 years. We met when I was on vacation visiting my parents in Charlotte, NC. I ended up moving there a month later from Seattle, WA and the rest is history. Josh and I have two wild boys, Maverick who is almost 3 and Cooper who just turned 8 months old.
Before I had Maverick, I worked full time as a Human Resource Manager in the medical field. I had been working in the medical field since I was 18 and just love helping others. I am now working part-time as an HR representative for a software engineering company.
I joined Stroller Strides when Maverick was 9 months old just after relocating to Phoenix. I was looking to find some friends in the area for myself and Maverick. It has really been a blessing, because the friendships created helped my family and I made us all feel like Phoenix was our home. In the past two years not only have I participated in some great workouts, I have met some amazing moms and created some friendships within the fit4mom village with the families involved for my husband and kids as well.
Fun Fact: Fluent with 5 years of American Sign Language education. My sister is fluent in sign language as well. Back when we were younger, we use to sit in the kitchen and sign to each other just to annoy/torture my mom. We still use it as a communication tool if we are together in the same room or in public trying to be secretive.
We want to thank the strong medical mamas of our village and all the hospital workers out there for their dedication and hard work, not only during this Covid-19 crisis, but everyday they put their scrubs on. We admire your bravery and the risk to your own personal health by serving on the front lines. You are truly heroes!! We cannot express enough gratitude for all that you do to care for and serve your patients. 💙
Meet Michelle! Our mom of the month🙌
Hi everyone! My name is Michelle Montopoli and I have been a part of Fit4Moms NWValley since December 2019: The one-year anniversary class. I love the incredible community, workouts, support, and interaction with our kids that this group offers, and the opportunities provided have added so much positivity to our lives.
I have a sassy independent 2.5-year-old daughter named Adriana with my partner Leo and have been a stay-at-home mom, while reviewing research grants, running statistics, or working on my own research/publications. I was born and raised in Wyoming, spending most of the time in Laramie, while spending every summer of my life in Grand Teton National Park where my dad has been a climbing rescue ranger for over 35 years.
The Tetons is where I consider home as I am still fortunate enough to continue going every summer, never missing one. It has allowed me to always be surrounded by nature and truly appreciate being in the outdoors. I grew up hiking and mountain climbing and love the challenge it offers and beauty and peace every experience brings.
When I was in 7th grade, we moved to Yuma, AZ since my mom got an incredible job offer as a Midwife at a Community center, where she continues to work. She was able to deliver Adriana in the Yuma Hospital, and it was a magical experience.
I started taking classes from the local community college (AWC) while in my sophomore year, and actually graduated with my Associates Degree in Mathematics before graduating Valedictorian from high school. I then headed straight back to the mountains, earned my bachelor’s in psychology from NAU in Flagstaff, and discovered my true joy for medicine. I decided to pursue and earn my Masters Degree in Health Psychology, while taking the needed science classes for medical school, and earning my EMT certification as a back-up plan. I spent an incredible summer being the lead EMT for the South District of Grand Teton National Park, then started medical school at the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix campus. While in medical school I suffered a pretty drastic injury where I severed my ulnar nerve, several tendons, and the artery. It took over a year of intense Occupational therapy to gain any function or feeling back, and I reached about 80% of my normal function. It has made things harder, but I refuse to let it stop me from doing anything I was capable of before. I took another break from medical school when I got pregnant with Adriana but hope to finish my last two rotations of my last year soon and hope to practice family medicine. I fell in love with almost every rotation, but really have continued to love wilderness medicine and OB/GYN. I also would like to try and volunteer in falconry rehabilitation, as I grew up with my dad rehabbing several diverse owls, hawks, falcons, and ospreys, and had them in our backyard all the time.
Fun Fact: My dad helped track Bald Eagle activity and deaths when they were endangered, which encompassed finding their nests, climbing them, banding the babies’ leg to monitor migration, and take blood samples. I was able to climb into a few as a teen and adult, and also have met Harrison Ford on several occasions as he has a Bald Eagle nest on his land and is a total environmentalist.
Meet Jetterra! Our Mom of the month🙌
Hi everyone! I’m Terra, wife to Tyler, mommy to London, and one of the rare Arizona natives! I’m a red wine drinking, dark chocolate loving, type of gal who’s obsessed with 90’s alternative music. My absolute favorite hobby is getting outdoors and going on a hike! Before having London, I was a regional sales manager for L’ANZA, a salon-professional haircare company. I oversaw 6 states and traveled almost weekly, even during pregnancy. I’m now a stay at home mom and absolutely love it.
London is 5 months old but I have been with FIT4MOM Northwest Valley since she was seven weeks old. It was so important for me to get back to being active after having her, and I love the fact that I don’t have to compromise time together to get my workout in. Being a part of such an amazing community of other supportive moms has brought me new friendships and so much joy!
Fun fact: Tyler and I moved home, separately, while planning our wedding to not only save money but also fully renovate our house on our own. We both lived on our moms couches for about 3 months while working full time and doing home projects until midnight. Somehow we survived.
Meet Kori! Our Mom of the month🙌
Hi! I’m Kori, mommy to my four beautiful babies- Indigo (9), Eden (7), Orion (3) and Apollo (17mos). I moved to AZ from CA when I was 2 so I’ve grown up in the valley of the sun. I went to 3 different colleges for Nursing and Education, I switched back and forth each year because I couldn’t decide which one to pick! I ended up sticking with Education and have been working at Gymboree Play and Music for almost 10 years now. I manage the Scottsdale and Glendale locations here in AZ and am so thankful to have such a wonderful career where I can bring my babies to work with me! They have all grown up Gymboree babies 🙂
I met my husband, Terran, when he moved down here from Oregon. We were friends before dating and the rest is history! I’d heard about FIT4MOM for years and finally tried my first class just over a year ago when we moved to the area. After my youngest was born, I found it harder to take care of myself. After my first class I was hooked and I knew this was the place for us! I love the convenience of being able to workout with my kids right there with me(or by myself if they want to stay home and build forts with daddy on Saturday mornings) All the instructors and mamas are so welcoming and supportive, my family and I enjoy being a part of this community!
Fun fact: I started gymnastics when I was 2, won 1st place in every event at state when I was 10 and dreamed of going to the Olympics. I can still do back and front flips (on the trampoline!)
Meet Beth! Our Mom of the month🙌
Hi, ladies! I'm Beth and I've been part of the FIT4MOM family since about August of 2019. I distinctly remember walking around the mall with my mom and my new baby, and I saw the group working out. After passing them by, thinking, "I would LOVE to do that", Racheal ran up to me to give me a free class voucher. I've been loving these workouts and community ever since then! I'm thankful for the way she and the other mamas reached out, and also for the welcoming, fun, and understanding atmosphere.
My husband Paul and I have one boy, our sweet George, who was born on April 1st, 2019 (no fooling here ;) and have been married for almost 5 years. I've worked as a nurse for 8 years and love the flexibility it gives me to be at home most days with George. Both my husband and I are Arizona natives. A fun fact about me? Well, it's a little bizarre, but I can blow up balloons with my nose. Hopefully George gets a kick out of it when he's older!
Meet Julie! Our Mom of the Month🙌
Hello, my name is Julie and I'm a 38 year old, single, stay at home mom of a soon to be two year old little boy named Grey. He is a very active little boy, which in turn makes me a very busy mommy. When I'm not chauffeuring him around to his toddler commitments, I've recently returned back to school to pursue a degree in Nutrition!
When looking back just 2 years ago, I'm always surprised by how such a beautiful and simple little individual would change and shape my life in the best possible way I could imagine. I had to really think about who made all of these wonderful things I have in my life today possible...my son Grey! Even thinking the perfect words, "I was having a boy", just made me glow from the inside out.
However, after having him, I started to have concerns, like any new mom would have. Like, "oh my gosh...will my body ever go back to the way it was before I got pregnant? How am I going to get out and do the things I want to do again with a baby?" and my favorite, "OMG, I have no mommy friends, which means my son will have no friends." LOL.
A friend of mine then told me about Stroller Strides, and I literally fell in love with the idea that I could workout and bring my son...WHAT??!! Since my first class, I was hooked. Words can't begin to describe the feeling of confidence, not only I have in me, but the love I have for all of these amazing women, that from day 1, welcomed Grey and I with open arms. I am a much happier person than I ever was before. Each strong mama brings such a different type of motivation, encouragement, and determination to my life. Grey has so many buddies that I know will last a lifetime.
Thank you to everyone who has always made us feel right at home, like we found where we belong, in the family, in our village. I couldn't see our life any other way.
FUN FACT: I can say my alphabet backwards better than I can normal.
Meet Laura! Our Mom of the Month🙌
Hi, my name is Laura, I was born and raised for 31 years of my life in New Jersey. My husband, Steve, and I have been together since oct 2010 but got married in November 2015 in Aruba. We have 2 beautiful children together, Skylar 7 and Cassidy 3.
Prior to being a stay at home mom I was a cosmetologist for 10 years in New jersey. The day after i left that job, Skylar and I moved to West Virginia to join my fiancé at the time, where my husband and i bought our first home together. We lived there for 3 1/2 years. Then he took a position here in Phoenix were we have been for just shy of 2 years (in Jan). But now our adventure continues as we will be relocating to the Washington DC area come Dec or Jan.
I couldn't have been happier when i decided to try out Stroller Strides on that rainy Valentine's Day this past February. I realized there was other mamas just like me trying to stay fit and survive our crazy kids each day. Just wish i would have found you guys sooner.
FUN FACT: I used to think i was hot stuff when i owned my 2007 mustang convertible, even when i had a car seat in the back!
BONUS FUN FACT: I import my breadcrumbs from Jersey
Meet Cristina! Our Mom of the Month🙌
My name is Cristina. I’m originally from San Jose, CA but in AZ for 16yrs. I’ve been with my best friend Danny for 13 yrs but we finally decided to get married a little over a year and a 1/2 ago right before welcoming baby Zailey. I was a single mother before that to my two older children Brenan (24y) and Kaiya (16y).
I joined Stroller Strides when Zailey was 3 months old (March 2018). I was really looking for a mommy and baby workout and was so lucky to have found this village to workout with and share in this motherhood journey all over again.
I work full time as an MRI tech by day and currently in school part time working on my pre-med requirements to apply to Medical school!! I graduated 9 months pregnant with my undergraduate degree at NAU in December of 2017!
Fun fact: I love to bake and used to make Fancy cakes. I always make my kids fun birthday cakes. Kina’s Creations. You can see some of my work on my FB albums.
Meet Kaela! Our Mom of the month🙌
Hello! My name is Kaela and I am a proud mama of Kaden who will be 2 next month. Wow how time flies! My husband James and I have been married for 3 years but together for 10.
Before Kaden, I was an office manager for a Commercial Contractor back in California. I had always been the type of person to keep my schedule extremely full with work, a social life, hiking, ocean fishing and whatever else I could find to do. When Kaden was born I was very taken back with the feeling that I just needed to be with him all the time and I did not want to go back to working and cramming my days. James then took a job opportunity here in Arizona and we moved our little family here so we could make that possible. Being a stay at home mom was extremely fulfilling but there was one think missing, and then a few months later I found Fit4Mom. This village of women has been so incredibly beyond supportive and inspiring. Suddenly being a stay at home mom living in a new place was not so hard.
Meet Bri! Our Mom of the Month 🙌.
I'm Bri, I'm a stay at home mom to Dean, whose 14 months. I married my high school sweetheart 3 years ago but we've been together for 11 years. Before Dean, I was an early childhood educator for 4 years, and when we are both ready I will return to that wonder filled world.
I've been in the fit4mom tribe only a couple months, but I love it. The workouts set an empowering, productive tone for the rest of my day.
Fun fact about me, I am super nerdy and love books, comics, and board games. My go to recipe, especially in the colder months, is vegan red lentil curry.

Meet Monica! Our Mom of the Month!
Hi! My name is Monica and I am mommy to Olivia (4) and Hudson (22 months) and two fur babies Chico and Dos. My husband and I just celebrated our 5 year anniversary in the Bahamas! I've been a part of Fit4Mom for 4 years now (time FLIES!) One of the many things I love about fit4mom is how our little ones get to be a part of our exercise routine. They get to see how exercise is not only an important part of our physical well being but it is also fun! When I'm not home with the kiddos, I work part time as a pediatric nurse practitioner with Phoenix Children's Hospital. I LOVE to travel. I love experiencing new cultures, exploring, and trying new foods and drink! A staple appetizer I love to serve is a Spanish "Tapa" called Gambas al ajillo (Shrimp w/ Garlic). It is super easy to prepare, and great for when you need a last minute, something different, appetizer to serve to friends.
Meet Michele! Our Mom of the Month Michele is also our NEW Play Group Captain! We are so excited to have her on our team!
Hello mama’s! I am Michele Frasier, mommy to mostly sweet but sometimes sour, Mr. Brody! My husband Tyler and I have been married almost 3 years (in June) and I am fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom. We also have a Great Dane (Milo) who was our first baby and now Brody’s BFF.
I joined Stroller Strides as a desperate need for some like minded, mommy friends, while being able to have Brody along with me. I started when Brody was only 10 weeks old and it has been nothing short of AMAZING ever since! I have made some genuine, long lasting friendships within this village and Brody has too! You know what they say, we come for the workout but stay for the friendships
A fun fact about me is I have a little side hustle making shirts and other fun things. It’s my little escape from mom life during nap and bedtime. I also really enjoy summertime here in Arizona, what’s better than floating in freshwater with a cold beverage in your hand?!
- NEW LIFE CENTER We have the most generous mamas. We delivered 3 car loads full of donations to Hope's Closet for the benefit of New Life Center!
- YOUTH FOR TROOPS In December, we got to go to a Youth for troops packing event to send supplies to troops overseas for the holidays. The kids had a great time writing notes and packing boxes!
- FOOTHILLS FOOD BANK In January, we got to deliver a carload of feminine products to the Foothills Food Bank supplying many women with the items they desperately needed!
#NOTHINGBUTLOVENOTES In February, we handed out handwritten notes expressing our gratitude for the every day hero who bravely serves our country and community!
CHARITY MILES During the month of March, our mamas ran 283.12 miles with the Charity Miles App and raised money for multiple charities!!
IPSY PROJECT During the month of September, our mamas collected and stuffed 117 ipsy bags full of menstrual products to give to our local elementary and middle schools!
Hi! My name is Rachael Zink. I'm 35 years old and I have three crazy boys. Steven 10, Tommy 7 and Danny 3. My husband Steve and I have been married for 11 great years. I've been a member of FIT4MOM and attending Stroller Strides for 3 years, and I love the workouts we do because they're really challenging and rewarding. I've also made some great friends among the other ladies there (and my boys have a great time with their "Stroller Strides" friends too!). Since Steven was born I've been a stay at home mom, and I really appreciate the ability to be home with my kids. But the boys are getting older, and my husband and I would love to start our own business some day. A fun fact about me is that I love singing, and I never turn down a cold beer after a long day (thankfully Stroller Strides helps me keep in tip top shape!) Come on out and join us so you can see how much fun we have!
Meet Hannah Brown
Hannah is a proud mama. Her and her husband Chris met December 31st of 2009 and have been married 5 years. They have a daughter Eve (almost 4) and a son Roman (1.5 years old) Hannah has been doing Stroller Strides for 3 ½ years. She started when her daughter Eve was 4 months old and has never stopped. She loves working out with her village, running, and her job as an independent financial advisor. She likes to volunteer at the YWCA, her church and is a bold advocate for her son. She has learned through her time at Fit4Mom that it is ok to have a bad day, it is normal to feel inadequate, and you don’t need to compare yourself to others. Through the love and support of her fellow moms and instructors, she has learned to embrace a saying from St. Francis De Sales. “Be who you are and be that well”.
Meet Rose Roush
I’m Rose and I’m a mama to two little ones, Jeremiah (age 2.5) and Summer (13 months old). I’ve have been happily married for 5.5 years and moved to Phoenix from the pacific northwest a month after I got married. I joined stroller strides in March of 2018. Summer was only 3 months old when I joined. As Summer was leaving the newborn stage I wanted to start working out again. There were days where she would be really fussy, but the other moms and instructors were really supportive of me needing to tend to her for a moment. I’ve never done well at gyms. I’m a social person and love the group aspect of stroller strides. My three favorite aspects of stroller strides are: we’re all at the same stage in life and are able to support, encourage and inspire each other. Stroller strides is baby and stroller friendly making it possible to workout with our children present; setting a good example of taking good care of our bodies. Thirdly there are both scheduled playgroups and mom’s night’s outs, making it fun for both the moms and the kids. When I’m not at stroller strides I stay busy being a stay at home mom keeping the kids and I involved with daily activities. I also sell children’s books as an Usborne Books & More consultant. A couple of fun interesting facts about me is I can’t whistle, blow a bubble or blow up a balloon, but I have swam in the Dead Sea and been to seven countries. As a stay at home mom stroller strides has been a great outlet for me to get a booty-kicking workout, while getting connected with a great community of mamas. I’m so blessed by my Fit4mom mama tribe!
- Meet Ashley Horaski
- I’m Ashley and I have two boys Grayson (age 2) and Beckett (5 months). I have been married for 6 years now. I joined stroller strides in October of 2016. Grayson was only 4 months old at that time. I found it stressful at first because he would cry most of my workouts which is what Beckett does now, but the instructors and other moms were always so supportive and helpful that I decided to stick it out. I am so thankful I did because stroller strides is my saving grace when I feel like I am about to lose it from working, being a mom, and a wife. I hated working out until I found this group. When I am not at strides I am working three days a week at the hospital as a crisis therapist in the mornings and running an intensive outpatient therapy program for adolescents in the evenings. During my free time, also known as the kids naptime if I am lucky I watch mindless TV shows such as Vanderpump Rules and the Housewives (I know I should be getting things done during this time, but sometimes I just need to sit and escape for a bit). A fun fact you may not know about me is Brian and I have traveled to Europe twice before having kids which I feel very fortunate to have been able to do. Places we went to were Paris, Venice, Florence, Munich, Dublin, Cork, Edinburgh, London, Santorini, and Athens. I am so incredibly thankful for my village and feel blessed to have such amazing strong mother’s to confide in each week while getting my butt kicked by amazing instructors.
